Tesla reported earnings of $11.2 million today, beating estimates, on sales of $561 million, according to Bloomberg. 4,900 Model X were delivered in the first quarter, more than Chevy’s Volt and Nissan’s Leaf. And more than its forecast of 4,500 cars.
With that, Tesla’s market value is now higher that Fiat’s, Chrysler’s owner!
And Tesla is hiring right and left, increasing its hiring rate in 18 US states, Asia and Europe, expanding its network of dealerships like a weed, and getting the Model X ready for prime time. Tesla has added 250 new job postings in 10 days in the US alone.
In the EV race, Tesla has its 2 feet on the gas pedal! BTW, what do we call the gas pedal in an electric car???
